It provides a convenient way to connect sensors and other peripherals, such as servo motors.<\/p>\n<p>The shield brings standard Arduino I\/O pins out to headers, with dedicated ground and power connections alongside each I\/O pin to simplify connections to sensors and other devices.<\/p>\n<p>It also has dedicated connectors assigned to specific functions. These can also be used as general-purpose connection points.<\/p>\n<p>An auxiliary power connector lets you supply separately the power pins associated with D0\u2013D13, which can be useful when driving servos. A remote reset switch is provided for convenient access.
