Description
3–12V 2A Power Adapter with Six Output Settings
Compact power adapter offering six common fixed output-voltage settings for electronic boards and modules that require a selected DC voltage. The source title lists a 2 A rating; check the product label for the current rating at the selected voltage.
🔧 Technical specifications
- AC input: 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz
- DC output selection: six nominal settings using the selector — 3 V, 5 V, 6 V, 7.5 V, 9 V, and 12 V
- Output ripple: <50 mV peak-to-peak
- Protections listed: short circuit, overload, and over-temperature
- Indicator: power LED
- Output connectors: 5.5 × 2.1 mm DC plug and 4.0 × 1.7 mm plug; center positive, outer contact negative
- Dimensions: approximately 90 × 45 × 30 mm
- Operating temperature: −10 °C to +40 °C
- Weight: approximately 120 g
💡 Typical applications
- Powering Arduino, ESP32/ESP8266, and Raspberry Pi Zero boards
- Testing and prototyping with sensors, relay modules, and LCDs
- Low-voltage LED lighting, RGB strips, and DC neon lighting
- Powering external NiMH/NiCd battery-charging circuits
- Electronics workshop test benches and troubleshooting
🛠️ Connection and setup
- Connect the 100–240 V AC input to a standard wall outlet.
- Select the required nominal output voltage using the selector.
- Before connecting equipment, verify the output voltage with a voltmeter and confirm it is within the device’s permitted range.
- Connect the load to the matching DC plug, observing polarity: center positive, outer contact negative.
- If the adapter trips due to a short circuit or overload, disconnect the load, allow the adapter to cool, and check compatibility before trying again.
Important note: The source description first specifies six fixed selector settings but later refers to a potentiometer. Confirm the actual control and output-voltage behavior on the physical unit before use. Do not assume continuously adjustable output.
