MT8870 DTMF Audio Decoder Module
MT8870-based module for decoding dual-tone multi-frequency (DTMF) signals into a binary output. DTMF is commonly used by telephone keypads; for example, the source describes the “1” tone as a combination of 697 Hz and 1209 Hz.
The board has a 3.5 mm line input. The source specifically cautions that this is a line input, not a microphone input; a microphone signal requires suitable amplification before reaching the module.
