Description
Desoldering Braid, 3.5mm × 1.5m
Desoldering braid for removing excess solder from electronic boards and component joints. The listing describes copper braid with integrated rosin flux.
Specifications stated in the listing
- Width: 3.5mm
- Length: 1.5m
- Material: high-purity copper braid (listed)
- Flux: integrated rosin-core (listed)
- Temperature resistance: up to 450°C (seller stated)
Use
- Heat the joint with a suitable soldering iron.
- Place the braid over the molten solder and briefly apply the iron to the braid.
- Lift the braid and iron together once solder has wicked into the braid; cut off the used section as needed.
- Use a desoldering pump for larger solder deposits.
Use fume extraction or good ventilation, as flux fumes may be harmful. Avoid prolonged heat on circuit-board pads and follow the temperature limits of the board and components. Clean flux residues only with a method suitable for the board and components.
