How to use

  1. Connect the reader to the computer’s USB port.
  2. Wait for automatic detection.
  3. Open a text editor, Excel, or your management software.
  4. Place the cursor in the field where the identifier should appear.
  5. Present a compatible 125 kHz or 13.56 MHz badge.
  6. The reader detects the badge and types its identifier automatically.
  7. Repeat to register other badges.

Tip: In Excel, set the cell format to Text before scanning badges to preserve leading zeros.

Compatibility and limitations

  • The reader may not indicate the frequency in its output; it mainly sends the identifier.
  • Not all 13.56 MHz cards are compatible because multiple protocols use this frequency.
  • Not all 125 kHz badges use the EM4100/TK4100 protocol.
  • This product is for reading, not writing or copying.
  • A detected card is not necessarily compatible with your access-control system.
  • Use only badges you own or are authorized to use.
