Description
HT-12E Encoder for Remote-Control Systems
The HT-12E is an encoder IC from the 212-series family, intended to pair with a compatible 212-series decoder. The source lists RF and infrared applications. The encoder/decoder pair must use the same number of address bits and the same data format.
The HT-12E converts parallel inputs to serial output for transmission. Its 12-bit word comprises 8 address bits and 4 data/address bits. Transmission enable (TE) is active low. When TE is triggered, the programmed address/data and header are sent over an RF or infrared link. The source describes a four-word transmission cycle that repeats while TE stays low; when TE returns high, the current cycle completes and transmission stops.
See the HT-12D decoder listing.
