This SCR-based AC controller is intended for adjusting voltage supplied to compatible loads. The source product lists applications such as AC lamp brightness, temperature control, electric ovens, water heaters, lamps, small motors and electric irons. Compatibility depends on the load type; this is not a universal motor speed controller.

Important mains-voltage safety
This module operates directly from potentially lethal mains voltage. Installation and use must be carried out by a qualified person in a fully enclosed, insulated, fire-resistant assembly with appropriate fusing, wiring, grounding and strain relief.
