TOP227YN Off-Line PWM Switch
The TOP227YN integrates a high-voltage power switch and PWM controller for off-line power-supply designs. The listing gives these maximum output ratings:
- 100/115/230 VAC input: up to 150 W
- 85–265 VAC universal input: up to 90 W
Power Integrations specifies these as practical continuous output levels for particular conditions. The universal-input rating assumes appropriate heatsinking and a junction temperature below 100 °C; actual capacity also depends on transformer design, efficiency, input capacitance and thermal environment. This product is not recommended for new designs.
